Temple Protocols

Conduct

  • All worshipers and guests will respect the sanctity of the shrine and observe proper etiquette while inside the temple. Heresy will be met with immediate removal. ((Sgrios is a roleplaying faith, all interactions within the temple are to be done in character with OOC talk contained in double brackets))
  • Pets must be leashed and kept by their master’s side.
  • Officials are not permitted to wear uniforms within the temple unless given explicit permission to do so.
  • The temple slate is for official business only.
  • As a worshiper of Sgrios, you represent Him in all that you do. Do not exhibit behavior unbecoming of an ambassador of your faith.

Blessings of the Shrine

  • Supplications of our faith are taught, unrestricted, to all Sgrios worshipers; these are to be employed in any manner that does not violate the Mundane Decree ((Terms of Service)). Clergy will not seek punishment over our worshipers at the request of others who feel our gifts are vile or offensive.
  • Geas and Greater Geas are to be offered, not asked for. These holy quests are given by members of the clergy to those of our faith who exhibit a ferocity of dedication.
  • The Sgrios prayer necklace is a holy gift from the temple that ties you intrinsically to Sgrios Himself. Anyone caught selling, abusing or trading their prayer necklace will be removed from our temple without impunity.
  • Obtaining a staff or symbol of our temple is a blessed gift; and one reserved for only the most devout of our faith, and having one consecrated for you by the high clergy is sign of your ultimate dedication to the temple and His will.

Initiations, Advancement and Shifting Faiths

  • Those seeking to join the Sgrios temple as a worshiper will be tested by a member of the clergy; be sure to have an understanding of the pantheon of the Gods of Temuair and a fierce dedication to our lord before seeking a priest for initiation.
  • Those with heretical or offensive names are not welcome among our ranks; on this we are unbending.
  • Advancement within the faith is prompted by the clergy; it is improper to ask to take a higher position. When it is clear you are ready, you will be asked if you wish to test for a higher degree.
  • Shifting from one of our allied temples into our faith first requires permission from a member of our clergy. As such, we must clear your transfer from Sgrios to one of our allies with a member of that temple’s clergy.
  • Advancement into the clergy is a big step and one not taken lightly within this temple. Taking the role of priest or beyond is to be done with the consent of the higher clergy. Rules for advancement within the high clergy can be found on the active clergy list.

High Clergy

Those beloved to Sgrios who have proven their tireless dedication to the congregation and are recognized for the accomplishments among the community have the ability to join the High Clergy. Reserved for those who have made impressive contribution to the temple, there is an protocol for joining this most holy caste in service to our shrine.

  • Active priest for 5 consecutive Deochs; this includes holding regular mass, service hours in temple, assisting with prayers and initiations, etc.
  • Clear grasp on your doctrine - strong and clear messages mired in the lore and history of our great temple.
  • Completed Geas for each active member of the current High Clergy.
Once you qualify for admission to the High Clergy, your candidacy will be reviewed by the current active clergy for advancement. High Clergy must reach a unanimous decision regarding the advancement.

This policy must be upheld for each degree; you will need to meet these requirements and reviews for each degree you seek within the High Clergy. To speak with a member of the active clergy, please consult the active clergy list, or visit our discord server.
