Sgrios Mass: Inspiration

I see many familiar faces tonight, as well as many new sparks flickering in this dim light. It's wonderful to see you all here let this be the first of many thanks for joining. Tonight, I want to speak on something -not- particularly Sgrian. However, there can be no denying that it is as much a part of our daily life as it is any others.

"Inspiration." When you hear that word - what comes to mind?

Lydien: *raises hand*
Lydien: Are we raising hands?

Or just speak, we're all equals here.

Lydien: Well, I actually have a lot of opinions about inspiration, but I think the main one is that it's actually..stealing. Sort of.. like I get my inspiration from other people, other things, the way the sky looks, the way something sounds or feels and then, yeah, make it my own, reenvision it.

Taking a part of someone or something else and making it a part of yourself? Absolutely.

Joraa: I think of artistic endeavors

A Cailite artist painting a blooming flower is certainly inspiration as well.
Any others?

Nilltha: Hmph... I find clarity mostly in battle. If inspiration strikes me, it is there.
tenuiflora: I agree with that. Adversity brings out creativity

Joraa: to me inspiration is like a chain or web, from artist to artist connecting everyone together
Saffran: Nnnmm! Yess...Fight!
reikachama: Inspiration is perhaps the spice of life

All of these are great definitions of inspiration. Nilltha mentioned battle, as the source of her inspiration. Let me ask you all then, if you had to pick a single word. What inspires you the most?

Nilltha: Slaughter.
Saffran: Mmmmnn! Pro...tect...

All very inspiring.

How about...Finality?

I - for one - find immense inspiration in the fact that the inevitable is just that - inevitable. We can push and pull, but are forever locked into a destined meeting with our great Lord. As well - it keeps every moment precious knowing that it is merely a drop in the bucket before the fated day that the bucked is emptied. As well... there are many Aisling's who are of the highest inspiration to myself... If you'd allow me a moment to gush.

I look at Paramour, whose dedication to the temple is as unwavering as the coming of Law. Her presence is felt even when she's dreaming and she always ensures that her flock is maintained.

As well as Inuyoko. A fledgling priest much like myself who has gained rank within the Deoch temple faster than I've ever witnessed.

I believe her family alone is keeping several of
the temples within Temuair from falling into ruin.

So, where will you find your next inspiration? Will you find it in the challenge of a new initiate's question? Or in the beauty of a ruin that has stood longer than the throne in Loures? Or will you find it by aiding a new spark within the Mileth crypt? Do not wait for the "perfect" moment. The most beautiful things within this land are fading. Remember that He is waiting, and when you finally go to meet Him, ensure you have a story that inspires.
